Overhanging branches along the footpath from Goss Ave to School Lane

Due to the very fine weather we have experienced over the last few months the trees down the footpath from Goss Avenue to School Lane have grown at a significant rate. This has caused several branches to droop down lower than normal for this time of year, subsequently these are getting in the way of people who use the footpath.

We have contacted the owner of the trees and these are being trimmed back on Thursday, 6th July. As this work will be carried out during the day please keep this in mind when using the footpath.

Further to this we are tackling the growth of nettles, thorn bushes and other shrubs that are encroaching into the pathway as a separate exercise later this week.
