A Statement from the Chair of the Parish Council Councillor Steven Walker on the death of Her Majesty the Queen:


It is with great sadness that we received the news that Her Majesty the Queen passed away. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family and the country as we mourn the loss of Her Majesty, and I would like to offer them our heartfelt condolences. We give thanks for her wonderful life and years of devotion to serving the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Nations.

She has been an inspiration and leader to us all.


We will be providing opportunities for parishioners to show their respects. Please see the details below.


The Parish Council will continue to offer services as usual and conduct its business and meetings during the period of mourning. Please check this page for further information which will be posted when arrangements for commemoration events have been confirmed.

Books of condolence will be open on the 9th of September at St Michael and All Angels’ Church and Waddesdon Methodist Church.


St. Michael and All Angels will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM, from Friday 9th September, until the eve of Her Majesty’s funeral on the 19th of September. All are welcome to light a candle, write a condolence message, or simply have some time to pray and reflect. There will be a Commemorative service for the late Queen next Sunday morning (18th) at St. Michael and All Angels at 11 AM.


There will be allocated space in Waddesdon Halls’ garden for unwrapped flowers to be laid in memory of the Her Majesty The Queen.
